Bali Blog

Bali for me represents freedom, fun and adventure.

Picture this:

Waking up surrounded by the peace of the green jungle and the expansiveness of Mount Agung. Starting your day with gentle, silent yoga stretching and breathwork to positively start your day in an open aired yoga studio overlooking the bay. Then meeting at the pristine, protected and calm Jemeluk Bay, where we kick off the beach straight into depth, which means no boats. As we kick off the beach, you swim over reef and cute little fish, cute sunken statues and temples and then swim across into the deep blue onto the buoys and into the depth for line diving into clear water with sunrays filtering through. Kick back after your dive and feast on the best burrito or smoothie bowl, juice or coffee whilst debriefing with your fellow divers and instructors.

Afterwards, relax into a massage, or explore various reefs and wrecks, jungle tracks, lookouts, swings or spearfishing.

Finish the day with a cocktail in an infinity pool overlooking the bay, then choose a private or group dinner. We often add in night activities for those who would like to join in the comrade, or you can chill out in the silence of your own bure.

As a bonus, you have access to the instructors throughout the day, if you need any extra coaching.  We add an ice bath to the experience and of course you get awesome underwater pictures as well to take home.

Accommodation is cheap and close, the scooters are cheap to hire and it’s safe riding around Amed, as it’s right out of the way and quiet. No one hassles you to buy anything, so for the most part you can relax as much as you like, or get stuck into adventures. Sunrise and sunset dives, night dives with the best bioluminescence to play in. There is nothing like diving into the darkness without light, sound or your breath. It feels like flying through space, the utmost peace and serenity in that stillness.

Before or after your retreat you can explore the monkey forests of Ubud, go on a surfing safari, or visit Mantarays and caves at a nearby island Nusa Penida.

Or simply stay a bit longer and work on your depth while you can.
